The Laboratory Animal Platform of the Beijing Institute of Hepatology is equipped with IVC barrier environment animal housing facilities, primarily providing care for immunodeficient mice such as mice and nude mice. It features large-scale instruments including a multimodal in vivo imaging system, a preclinical high-frequency small animal ultrasound system, a probe-based fiber-optic in vivo confocal system for small animals, and a small animal magnetic resonance imaging system. Leveraging the clinical resources of Beijing Youan Hospital, the platform aims to establish itself as a comprehensive experimental animal base characterized by liver cancer PDX models, humanized immune system mouse models, and animal molecular imaging. With a focus on liver disease-related in vivo mechanistic research and preclinical drug evaluation, it integrates scientific research, translational applications, and service provision.
